Knowledge means the information and skills acquired through experience or education. It is not merely a collection of facts but necessarily includes understanding of the subject. Knowledge is the most critical factor that differentiates the human race from other animals. It is the unique feature that has made humans capable and superior in the animal kingdom. Knowledge is a treasure which grows when shared. No one is omniscient. Sharing of knowledge helps one to grow as a person. Knowledge is power, but it has to be translated into practice.

Knowledge is the basic founding stone on which entire journey to success is based. One needs to know what to achieve, how to achieve and more importantly why to achieve in order to achieve the desired goal. It is very important to know what exactly is the target that we are yearning to achieve. Having thorough knowledge about the target is very essential to plan the efforts and execute them. One also needs to know about the steps to be taken to achieve the target. This process towards success does not come effortlessly but needs to be carefully devised and designed, based on the knowledge available. Further the whole process and achievement becomes meaningless and mechanical if one does not know the motive of the achievement. Knowledge about the ‘Why’ gives the moral and emotional strength to achieve it.

One also needs to have a detailed understanding of the resources available. And the most important understanding needs to be about oneself. Self knowledge is the factor which distinguishes between successful people and others. Knowing strengths and weaknesses of oneself helps to analyze the situation and plan the process. We have to judge situations, decide between good and bad and make decisions which eventually lead us to success. This sense of Good and Bad is another feature that is very much essential in life.

Knowledge is the most valuable resource in today’s extremely connected world. In the topsy-turvy waves of competition in world, knowledge is an island that will help one survive. And larger the island of knowledge, longer will be the shoreline of wonder.
