In August 2018 I got an opportunity to attend and present our work in Sangli ZP in the SBM National Workshop on ODF Sustainability. While the entire tour in the scenic and historic city of Udaipur was one of the best experiences (will post a separate blog about it), the journey to and fro was equally enthralling.
While returning back, I got to see this beautiful rainbow alongside NH4 near Satara. It was a random chance that I spotted it while travelling during which most of my time was eaten up by modern gadgets. Though NH4 Pune Satara section is an interesting mix of natural scenery and human settlements, this was unarguably the most breathtaking scene I had ever witnessed in this part of the country.
This coloured crescent seemed so ethereal spreading across the lush green fields. What made it look even more majestic was the backdrop of the towering ranges of Sahyadri. This was the moment which made me gasp in wonder, forgetting the toil and exertion of my 10 hour journey. In fact these are the moments and sights which add charm and vigour to travelling, and to our lives as well.
